Offset Printing Department

Our printing department has nearly 200 years of printing experience between our printers. With a wealth of knowlege and experience we are able to print almost anything onto paper!

Alec – Offset Printer

Alec has over 25 years in the print industry. He started with a guillotining apprenticeship before moving into the finishing area and ran the Bindery Department of Corporate Print for 5 years.

Alec then decided he wanted to learn a new trade and was trained as an Offset Printer on both the 2 and 4 colour presses.

Alec is kept busy away from work raising four children.

Clinton - Floor Manager

Clinton has been in the print industry for over 35 years the majority of these at DMP-Harris.

Clinton is a printer by trade and has also been a sales rep, guillotinist and production manager. Clinton also holds the staff record for leaving and returning to DMP-Harris with this being his fourth return!

Clinton is married with two children, is a keen hot rodder and member of the Papakura Rod and Custom Club.

Colin – Offset Printer

Colin has been in the print industry for over 30 years now, starting as a Flexographic printer for two years before becoming an Offset Printer. Colin had the privilege of also running the first ever GTO printing press in New Zealand. He has been with DMP-Harris since 2005.

When not working, Colin can be found on the water fishing or canoeing.

Derek - Guillotinist

Derek was the first ever printing apprentice here at DMP-Harris, his first job straight out of school. He was a printer for several years before changing to guillotining, which he prefers.

Derek did leave DMP-Harris for around 10 years, but still stayed in the printing trade. He has now been back at DMP-Harris at the guillotine since 2000.

When not at work, Derek is a keen follower of cricket and rugby league.

John – Offset Printer

John has over 34 years printing experience and is another DMP-Harris employee who worked here in the early years, left to go overseas and then returned to the company.

After 20 years of working in the Australian print industry, John returned home and has now been with DMP-Harris since 1995..

John’s interests include making wood crafts, fishing and anything outdoors.

Justin – Offset Printer

Justin moved to New Zealand from South Africa with his family in 1998.

Justin has been in the print industry since 2001 as a 4 and 5 colour Offset Printer. He is a 3rd generation printer both his father and grandfather being printers also.

Justin’s time away from work is spent with his family. His interests include boxing and rugby league.
